2 years’ experience in Business Intelligence (BI) supporting the creation of actionable data & analytic solutions to improve supply chain on time delivery and installation of medical equipment globally. Previous to her current role, Ayana was a part of an accelerated program, the Digital Technology Leadership Program. In this program, for two years she rotated into a new role within IT every 6 months to build her technical depth, business knowledge and leadership abilities. While participating in the program, she has had roles developing software for imaging medical equipment to modernize and streamline scan control panel use for technicians and business tailored roles supporting deployment of tools used for field engineers to manage new product installations and upgrades.
Originally from Omaha, NE, USA, Ayana majored in computer science at Creighton University where she recognized her passion for problem solving and her skill for programming. Being in the data & analytics space allows her to exercise both her skills and passions using data to provide insights and move towards a data driven culture but also share with others the insights data can provide while using technical depth, problem solving and business process knowledge.
Ayana is committed to teaching underprivileged communities coding and volunteers with the Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA) organization and mentors locally in Milwaukee. Through this partnership, youth and young adults have been able to build foundational skills which allows for leverage of tools for data manipulation and visualization. She has given presentations showcasing the capabilities of Tableau to collegiate and high school students to start their data manipulation skills early on.
